After the years have been ignored or used as props for billboards, the authorities were finally devoted to foot bridges (FOB) in the city. During its Thursday meeting, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) meeting has approved a proposal to invite 23 FOBS maintenance during its Thursday meeting.
FOBS, for which maintenance offers will be hovering, include 15 newly designed ones, some of which have to be open for pedestrians.
These include those built in Dilsukhnagar, Saroornagar, Chandrayangutta, Rajendranagar, Punjagutta, Banjara Hills Road no.
They have bridges in Punjagutta, Banjara Hills, Erragadda, Madinaguda, Miyapur, Shapurnagar and Secunderabad escalators.
In the case of many phobes, escalators and elevators have been extinct for years, which makes them virtually unnecessary. An example is the bridge at the school of St. Anna in Secunderabad, which was first built in 2005 after a four -year -old child from school was killed when the road was crossed. The structure was dismantled to facilitate construction of metro railways and was reconstructed two years ago.
“The elevator and escalator were not functional months, which makes students a climb to it and transmits their school bags,” said P. Sowjanya, parent.
The word “solution” came to define virtually every FOB, which is equipped with an elevator and escalator. Without maintenance financing, no patrons in the form of advertisers or many pedestrians who decided to use them remained icons of unnecessary means throughout the city.
The escalator of the newly built FOB in Nerredmet was inoperable for more than six months, published by Robin Zaccheus, a user X, who ridiculed the idea of GHMC to install other FOB in the city.
“FOB lifts and escalators near Croma Madinaguda are inoperable since many months, creating difficulties for seniors and especially ill people. The request of knowledge (SIC),” said Anil Kumar Subudhi and described GHMC.
The commuters inform that in any of the FOBS on the section from Punjagutta to Inorbit Mall has functional escalators and elevators. This includes bridges in Punjagutta, road no. 3 Banjara Hills, LV Prasad Eye Hospital and Inorbit Mall.
GHMC officials reported that there was no proposal to rent a FOB, which the Permanent Committee cleared to advertising agencies for income. Instead, the GHMC has set the CRORE price of £ 13.59 per year for 23 FOB maintenance for five years, which can be extended for another five years based on performance.
