The Singareni Collieries Company LTD (SCCL) warned contractual agencies involved in the construction of solar power plants against delay in completion of work and threatened either on the black list of agencies or canceled contracts unless the work was completed in time.
Chairman and CEO of SCCL N. Balaram reviewed the progress of the construction of solar power plants at a meeting held here on Thursday. By October, he ordered the agencies to complete the power plants sanctioned according to Phase I and II.
He said that 54.5 megawatt capacitive plants from 300 MW scheduled for the first phase and 67.5 MW from 240 MW, which were removed in the second phase, still needed.
He expressed a dismay about the delay in the construction of sanctioned plants and warned agencies of serious measures for further delay in the completion of work. He pointed out that contracting agencies postponed works, although there was no delay in paying accounts for completed SCCL works.
CMD also warned Singarens officials that contract agencies do not work on time, with such delays would be reflected as notes in their service records. He ordered them to complete the battery power storage system (BESS), which was based on 28 MW solar plant in Mandamarri until August.
At the 32.75 MW solar power plants, which were sanctioned for Surya Ghar Yojana on the ScCl buildings, CMD told officials to complete the installation until December at the end of December.
