
Police stations of cyber crimes, Hyderabad, in June 2025 arrested 25 individuals out of seven different states. The arrested persons were involved in a total of 453 cases throughout India, of which 66 were reported in Telangana.
According to Cyber Crimes DCP Dara Kavitha, 72.85 788 GBP was returned in June. “In addition, in 64 different cases during the National Lok Adalat held on June 14, 2025, 3.67.50 037 GBP was returned,” the officer said.
The defendants were found from several countries throughout India. The highest number of cases associated with the accused came from Karnataka (74), Maharashtra (53), Uttar Pradesh (36), Gujarat (35) and Tamil Nadu (34). Overall, the police confiscated 34 mobile phones, 20 control books, 17 debit cards, 8 SIM cards, 16 bank tickets and £ 1 lakh in cash during operations.
In one case, a 48 -year -old Hyderabad entrepreneur was cheated on 2.59 GBP Crore after receiving a friend request on Facebook, which initially refused but later accepted. The fraudster who claimed to come from Bangalore convinced him to invest in a platform called FINALTORG.com by showing false profits. Two people from Haryana, Cheetram (32 years) and Parikshit Mahendra, 30, were arrested as holders and account operators under fraud.
Other residents of Hyderabad, at the age of 62, lost 31.76 574 GBP for fraudulent Indian trade representation. The victim was deceived by a person who identified himself as Saurabh Sharma of Indian Oil Corporation Limited. He was asked to pay for registration, licenses, agreements and equipment and were sent to false documents bearing counterfeit stamps IOCL. The defendants were Raj Bharati Singh, 21 years, and Monu Choudhari, 22, both from the village of Naraina, Nový Delhi and from the village of Daruar in Bihar. Both operated bank accounts used in fraud.
Police in cyber crimes also announced that handling 22 cases related to sexual abuse of children or exploitative material (CSAEM), which were handed over to the police stations through Zonal DCP after receiving the entrances from the National Missing and Expired Children. In these cases, an arrest was carried out.
The victims are recommended that they report immediately via a 1930 cyber crime line or on the cybercrime.gov.in website.
