
Ravindra Jadeja playfully teased Joe Root to take the second run and reach his hundreds during the Lord’s test. On the fourth ball the finals on the 1st day, root hit delivery back from Akash Deep to a third man and briefly considered the second run.
However, seeing Jadeja – famous for his sharp field and rocket arm – but the root wisely decided against him. Jadeja, added a touch of humor, invited the root to take the other and even place the ball on the ground for a moment to further irritate him.

Root, aimed at its 37th test century, remained undefeated to 99 of 191 balls with nine four, when England closed the day at 251 to four after 83 overs.

Joe Root Guides England 1. Day
After Bat Bat first decided, England suffered stable with a 43-run open between Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. However, Nitish Kumar Reddy at 14th.
Joe Root then took the lead and anchored shifts with peace. He sewed together a key 109-Runa partnership for the third goal with Ollie Pope. After the Pope was released on 44 Ravindra Jadeja and Harry Brook fell cheaply to Jasprit Bumrah, Root found support in Captain Ben Stokes.
Stokes, who recently fought for runs, remained undefeated at 39 out of 102 balls with three four on the stump and root partnership saw England until the end of the game.
For India, Reddy Standout was a pitch with characters 14-0-46-2. Bumrah and Jadeja screwed up with one goal, while Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj and Washington Sundar went without a goal.
Day 3. Day England looks at Stokes and Root to expand its partnership while India will focus on breaking the stand as soon as possible.
