The state government plans to prescribe textbooks of the National Research and Training Council (NCERT) from class 1 to all students of the State Board of Schools. Ncert textbooks are currently prescribed to high school students.
After the representation of the Government Association of primary school teachers demanding the same thing, the main Secretary of Shalini Rajneesh recently organized a meeting with the Ministry of Education and Literacy (DSEL) and the Association’s Office, where the government in principle accepted, said sources.
The government will cancel the existing program poured-Kali, a tutorial for multiple classes, where students from classes 1, 2 and 3 are taught by the only teacher in one class, currently practicing only in government and supported schools. Instead, these students will be divided into different classes, assign them different teachers and teach them to the Ncert textbook.
“The scheme is not working properly in the state. Therefore, the government level is discussed on its abolition and implementation of textbooks Ncert of Class 1 in all state curriculum schools, including the government, and private schools throughout the state.
Increasing problems with the Association of Elementary School Teachers and the prescribing Ncert textbooks to ensure quality education from primary classes themselves, even in government and auxiliary schools. “The system poured-kali failed in primary education and the quality of students’ teaching is decreasing. For this reason, the number of children in government schools decreases every year. In this context, we asked the government to leave the system pouring and prescribing textbooks from the classroom. “Nuggali, General Secretary of the Association.
Why the Ncert textbook?
The Ncert textbooks were prescribed at all schools after the central warp and are considered updated. It is a common trend that students who are preparing for competing examinations for professional courses, and even recruitment tests, including civil services, are monitored by Ncert textbooks for information. One of the reasons could also be that these tests have more questions based on Sycoal Ncert.
