Abdullah, who addressed the media next to Banerjee, thanked the government of West Bengal for extending support from terrorist attacks.
“After the attack and Operation Pahalgam, Sindoor sent Didi (Banerjee) the team to Poonch and Rajouri to meet the affected families and provide the necessary help. I am grateful,” he said.
He repeated his desire for stronger ties between the two states.
“I want to extend the invitation to didi to visit Jammu and Kashmir. In the future, I want Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir to cooperate to improve trade, tourism and relationships. It is our duty to tourists from Bengal all necessary support and security,” Abdullah said.
During the meeting, the main ministers discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the two states in sectors such as industry, tourism and cultural exchange.
“Kashmir is rich in spices, dry fruits and other unique offers. I am a great admirer of Kashmir; I love a place. Our tourism department will cooperate with them. There should be a thought that would facilitate visits in both directions and promote a cultural exchange.
She also said that the government of West Bengal would encourage film producers from the state to consider Kashmir to be a place of filming.
“They (people J&K) should come here during the Puja. We will also invite them to celebrate the Republic of the Republic,” said the main Minister of West Bengal.

The meeting comes when Jammu and Kashmir try to revive its tourism industry in the middle of persistent security fears, while the government of Abdullah makes efforts to other states for cooperation and investment.
