Days after helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru register a crucial IPL win, cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma visited spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in Uttar Pradesh’s Vrindavan.
The couple arrived at the Radha Keli Kunj Premanand Maharaj Ashram on Monday seeking the blessings of the revered spiritual guru. Photos and videos of their visit soon went viral on social media, showing the pair leaving the ashram after meeting the Maharaj.
A well-known spiritual stop for a couple
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, who are known to frequent Vrindavan, have often been seen turning to spirituality and seeking guidance from Premananda Maharaj. Over the years, the couple has visited the holy city several times, often out of the limelight, to spend time in prayer and reflection.
On their last visit, both Kohli and Sharma opted for simple attire and wore face masks as they arrived at the ashram. Their low-key appearance was in contrast to the celebrations that followed Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s latest IPL success.

Kohli backs RCB’s Balanced Squad
After the win, Kohli praised the depth and balance within the current RCB squad and credited the entire batting unit for contributing to the team’s success.
“All the batsmen have also come. I feel so lucky to play in a group where we have balance, strength and we are a strong all-round team and that’s why we have confidence on the field now,” he said.
The star batsman also reflected on how this campaign differed from previous seasons, saying the squad had a greater sense of belief and composure.
“I told a few of the guys it wasn’t as much pressure as last year; we knew the ability we had in the group,” he said.
Highlighting the team’s consistency throughout the tournament, Kohli added:
“We got to the top of the table; there’s a reason we got here first and we just said one thing – if we stick to our cricket, if we stick to our plans, we’re the best team in the competition and that’s why we’ve done well so far. We’ve finished top of the league in the group stage and the skills we’ve got, the maturity and composure of the boys,” Kohl said clinically again during this evening.

Family life away from cricket
Off the cricket field, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma remain one of the most watched celebrity couples in India. The two tied the knot in 2017 and are parents to daughter Vamika and son Akaay.
Their latest visit to Premanand Maharaj’s ashram comes amid a successful period in Kohli’s cricket career and reflects the couple’s continued connection to spiritual matters, which they have often spoken about through public appearances and visits to religious destinations.
