In the great reform, the University of Mysore has introduced an important change in its investigative system by performing postgraduate tests under a single roof in the evaluation of Bhavan in his campus Manasagangotri. This is the first time in more than ten years since the university has taken a decision on the reform of its investigation system.
The decision has been described as a significant change in the university test process, as postgraduate tests have so far been held in the relevant departments. Since 2025-26 Academic Year, however, students from all 54 departments will write their exams in a common place-evaluation of Bhavan.
The second and fourth semester for the current academic year began on July 3 and these tests are carried out in the premises of Bhavan. “Approximately 4,500 students write their exams, which are carried out on two sessions every day when evaluating Bhavan,” said N. Nagaraju, registrar (evaluation).
In an earlier system, the university employees had to visit every department a day to distribute questionnaires and collect responses, leading to a waste of time, workforce and financial resources. The new arrangement ensures financial savings and also increases discipline, the university press release said.
Previously, teachers from the same department made the exams of their students. Now teachers from other departments are appointed for inviginals. The exams are carried out smoothly without any problems and the students expressed their recognition as a new system, added editions.
