
In a significant step, the Directorate for enforcement (ED) filed a case of money laundering against 29 celebrities, youtubers and influences on social media, including Ran Daggubati, Prakash Raj and Vijay Deverakonda, The alleged support for illegal betting platforms was stated by official sources on Thursday.
The case was registered under the Act on Prevention of Money Wash (PMLA).
ED launched the event after observing that the diverse group of individuals promoted betting platforms and effectively encouraged users to engage in illegal online gambling.
Data on these stores reportedly created “unlawful” funds worth of rupees through illegal betting and gambling, the sources, as stated by PTI.

These celebrities are suspicious that “approved” online betting applications such as Junglee Rummy, Jeetwin, Lotus365, etc. instead of obtaining celebrities or approval fees, sources said.
The sources added that some of these “acquaintances” have previously stated that they did not know the accurate functioning of applications and products that expand them, and claimed that they associated with these platforms for any unlawful or illegal activities such as betting.
ED is expected to record its statements in the coming days, even if it collects more fir and is looking for other complainants who have been deceived or cheated on these bets.
