Archaeological survey of India (probably) gave permission to the archaeologist PS Sriraman, who led the third phase of excavations in Keeladi in the district of Sivaganga to prepare a detailed report on the work performed under his supervision.
According to official sources in the agency, Mr. Sriraman, who left in 2019, allowed reports on the third phase of excavations in Keeladi and one season of excavations in Kodumanal in the Erode district, which led.
In an interview with Hindi, Mr. Sriraman confirmed that he was probably looking for permission to write about the excavations in Keeladi and Kodumanal.
“As I retired, both messages were waiting. I was looking for approval to get to the material and prepare messages. Because all related materials are in Chennai, I will start preparing the news soon,” he said.
This comes a few months after he probably asked archaeologist K. Amarnath Ramakrishny, who discovered ancient civilization during the first two phases of the kicking in Keeladi to revise and send his message to the necessary repairs.
But he refused to do it and defended his conclusions as well.
Mr. Ramakrishna discovered brick structures and artifacts indicating the presence of urban civilization in Tamil over Sangam. In 2017, however, was transferred to Assam. Mr. Sriraman, who followed him, said there was no continuity in previously discovered brick structures.
Since 2017, the State Ministry of Archeology (TNSDA) has been carried out by Tamil Nadu in Keeladi, starting with the fourth phase. By 2024-25, the excavations entered their tenth phase and brought hundreds of antiques.
