
Novak Djokovic secured its place in the semifinals of men’s singles Wimbledon 2025 after a hard victory with four hundred over Italy Flavio Coboli. The Serb needed three hours and 11 minutes to seal 6-7 (6-8), 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 victories in the Central Court.
Djokovic victory tied Chris Ever for the most Grand Slam semifinals in the open era (52). The 38 -year -old man also expanded his own record for the most semifinals (14) in Wimbledon.

In the opening set, Djokovic earned an early break, but Coboli broke into to force Tiebreak. 23-year-old Italian led 3-1 in a circuit breaker and finally closed the set, despite a short return from Djokovic, who equalized him to 6-6.
Djokovic responded strongly in the second set and earned a double break to equalize the match. The third set was firmly questioned, but Djokovic broke late to take the lead 7-5.
The fourth set followed a similar formula. Djokovic broke to go up 5-4 and serve for the match. At 40-15, he earned two match points, but Cobolli saved both, including one after Djokovic slipped into court. The seven -time Wimbledon champion, however, regrouped and closed the match.
Djokovic ended with 51 winners, while Cobolli’s 44 unforced errors turned out to be expensive.
Despite the loss, Cobolli climbed five seats on No. 19 in the ranking, etc. Djokovic appreciated the young Italian and expressed confidence in his potential to go far in sports.
“The huge congratulations to Flavi for an amazing tournament. Great performance from him. It’s definitely one of the boys we’ll see much more in the future,” Djokovic said in a court interview.
Djokovic will face another in the semifinals to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. The Italian had a relatively comfortable trip against American Ben Shelton, won 7-6 (7-2), 6-4, 6-4 to book his place in Final Four.
