10 killed in van-truck collision accident in Lakhimpur Kheri

Ten people died in a tragic road accident on the Sisaiya-Lakhimpur National Highway, located between Unchgaon and Bharehta villages in Lakhimpur Kheri district. A van carrying passengers from Lakhimpur to Sisaiya collided head-on with an oncoming truck. All nine passengers in the van, along with the driver, died in the accident.

A school teacher returning to work, a young engineer preparing to leave for work in the Persian Gulf and a day laborer supporting his struggling family were among ten individuals who lost their lives, leaving devastated families in three counties.

Uttar Pradesh BJP president and Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary expressed grief over the accident. “The loss of life in road accident in Lakhimpur Kheri district is deeply saddened. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray to God to place the departed souls at his feet and give strength to the bereaved families in their difficult times and speedy recovery to the injured,” he wrote on X.
