Shivamogg City Corporation’s employees have been a protest in front of the civic body and, among other things, demand revision on a salary scale according to the Second Reward Commission.
They decided to continue the protest until the requirements were met. As a result, corporation services, including cleaning, were influenced in the city.
The workers launched a protest on Tuesday and demanded that their salaries to increase as recommended by the Second Commission for Reward, at the same level as the State Government employees. Similarly, they also demanded promotional events and facilities of the Karnataka Government Insurance (KGID) at the same level as other state government employees.

N. Govind, President of the Shivamogg Corporation Association, said that workers would continue to protest until the government decides to meet its requirements. “The government has not yet invited us to talk. Meanwhile, the public is facing inconveniences due to protest. However, it must understand our situation and expand their support to protest,” he said.
The wearers of the Office of the Association-Mohan, P. Kumar, Vasanth Kumar and others were present.
