
The ruling World Champion of Formula 1 and Red Bull racing Max Verstappen sent Christian Horner an emotional report after being released on Wednesday 9 July as a team director. Horner on Wednesday ended his 20 -year connection with Red Bull with immediate effectA year after the scandal of sexual texts. Horner led Red Bull to six designers and eight drivers’ championship after taking over the role in 2005.
Verstappen was promoted to the Red Bull Main team during Horner’s tenure and 51 -year -old supervised the Dutch rise in sport. Verstappen secured four world championships while working under Horner and wrote a message that thanked the English for his leadership.
Verstappen remembered the incredible victory they shared in Red Bull during their time and broke countless records.
“Since my first victory in the race, we have shared incredible successes for four world championships. By gaining unforgettable races and violating countless records. Thank you for everything, Christian!” said Verstappen on X.
Horner’s turbulent 18 -month period ends in F1
The throw -in from his role with Red Bull ended the turbulent period on and off the track. The Englishman found himself in the controversy, because the accusations of inappropriate behavior were against him in February 2024 a colleague. However, the case was rejected when Horner won the appeal in the summer.
Red Bull’s performances, however, deteriorated in the current season when they found themselves chasing the first three. Currently, they are fourth at the designer’s championship, when the Liam Lawson experiment failed and Yuki Tsunoda is still looking for legs with the team.
Horner’s last few months have also seen Red Bull has lost a lot of high -ranking characters, including the legendary designer Adrian Neweel Aston Martin and sports director Jonathan Wheatley to Sauber. Horner was replaced by Laurent Mekies was appointed CEO of Red Bull Racing and stepped out of the Racing Bulls team.
