TELANGANA STATE Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), in an effort to strengthen the infrastructure of electric vehicle charging (EV), plans to establish 31 EV public stations in its premises throughout the state.
The initiative is in accordance with the efforts of the central and state government to support the acceptance of EV and reduce vehicle emissions. While the Ministry of Heavy Industry has already sanctioned more than 2,800 charging stations in several cities, the TELANGANA 2024 electric vehicle policy further strengthens this pressure.
According to the TGSRTC document, the proposed charging stations will be located in bus warehouses, regional workshops and stations in areas including Hakimpet, Shamirpet, Korutla, Godavarikhani, Topran, Balconda, Nagarjunasagar, Jadcher and Depots in Nagarkanturne and Nagarcundon.

The proposed contract period for CPO is 10 years with an extension provision. To ensure that the equipment remains functional and accessible to the public, TGSRTC outlined several operating conditions. Revenue generated from these stations will be shared between transport Juggernaut and selected suppliers/ partners.
