Will traffic be hit on July 9th?
Harbhajan Singh Sidh of Hind Mazdoor Sabha said PTI that state transport services are likely to be hit because of a strike.
Public buses, taxis and applications based on applications are likely to be disturbed because trade unions and associated groups are planning protest marches and demonstrations of roads across several cities.
Agitation is likely to cause delay or cancellation in local travel and logistics operations.
KSRTC to participate in Bharat Bandh
However, the Minister of Transport Kerala KB Ganesh Kumar said that KSRTC state buses will continue operation, although the central trade unions demand a nationwide strike.
“As far as KSRTC is concerned, employees are happy and satisfied. The unions have not issued any notifications. KSRTC buses will run as usual,” he said.
However, the trade unions of Kerala refuted the Minister’s claims and state that the strike has already been submitted and that KSRTC workers actually participate in nationwide agitation.
Why is Bharat Bandh 9 July?
In its statement, the union forum claimed that the government has not held an annual work conference in the last 10 years and continues to decide in violation of the interests of the workforce.
They said the Center was trying to store four working codes to weaken collective bargaining, crippled trade union activities and prefer employers on behalf of “easy business”.
Trade unions said they were fighting “privatization of public sector and public service companies, outsourcing policy, making and accidentally labor”.
