Roland Garros Day 10 Order of play: Zverev and next generation stars take center stage

Day 10 at Roland Garros marks the start of the quarter-final stage, bringing with it a stacked line-up with top seeds, breakout performers and blockbuster matches across the draw. Second seed Alexander Zverev headlines the event as teenage sensation Joao Fonseca continues his giant killer run on the Paris clay.

The women’s singles draw is also in the spotlight, with seventh seed Elena Svitolina set for an All-Ukrainian quarter-final match against Marta Kostyuk. Kostyuk enters the match on the back of a stunning straight sets victory over four-time champion Iga Swiatek, one of the biggest surprises of the tournament so far.

Action on Court Philippe-Chatrier begins at 14:30 IST, with eighth seed Mirra Andreeva taking on 18th seed Sorana Cirstea in the opening match of the day. The program then shifts to the highly-anticipated Svitolina-Kostyuk clash before second seed Alexander Zverev takes on Rafael Jodar, who has impressed with a string of hard-fought victories to reach this stage.

The night section features another interesting showdown as Novak Djokovic stunner Joao Fonseca takes on Jakub Menšík, both emerging as the tournament’s breakout names after dethroning established stars. India will also be represented in the junior category where Arnav Paparkar will take on the top seeded pair in the second round of the boys’ doubles.

The day also extends across Court Suzanne-Lenglen, where several of the top players from the women’s, men’s and mixed doubles draws continue their pursuit of the title.
