Instructions for road safety issued by a motor vehicle department (MVD) and the police during the inspection disk in front of Monsoon were thrown into the wind in Kozhikode City, including private bus drivers. Violation and dangerous overtaking remains uncontrollable and threatens passengers.
MVDs of coercive group said they recently launched an event against operators of approximately 40 private buses in the city for various security violations. “The control disk is still in full swing to identify and act against emiral drivers,” they added.
MVD sources said earlier instructions that will replace worn tires with dangerous treads have not been taken by some buses operators yet. They warned that such negligence could be dangerous because it can lead to aquaplants and lead to a loss of control on wet roads.
“Only last month we revealed 4,315 violations of safety rules that covered all types of vehicles. Almost 1 lakh 1 was taken as a fine from the perpetrators,” said MVD officer in Kozhikode. He added that, in addition to more than 27,000 similar violations found through tracking cameras.
According to MVD Squad deployed for daily inspections, it is also on the rise between youth abuse of mobile phones while driving and triple riding on a two -wheel horse. Last month, 12,188 riders were fined for not carrying helmets, while 617 triple -driving cases were reported from different places, they said.
Meanwhile, part of the private bus operators on the Kozhikode-Kannur route claimed that the growing number of accidents was largely due to poor state of potholes. They also claimed that the police and the MVD “pretend to be ignorant” about such serious concerns, and at the same time impose brave fines for “unintentional” violations.
