On Monday, the chairman of the Congress Committee Tamil Nadu K. Selvaterunthagai claimed that the AIADMK cadre would never accept BJP and its leaders and express the certainty that people in the election assembly of 2026 would give them a suitable response.
Mr. Selvaperunthagai, who spoke to reporters in Chennai, said that BJP, “who offended Periyar (EV Ramasamy), Annadurai, Mgr and Jayalithaa”, will not accept AIADMK Cadre and Alliance is not “natural”.
According to him, the efforts of TNCC to strengthen its base in rural areas will help the alliance led by DMK as a whole. “The DMK-Congress alliance will win more than 200 chairs of more than 25,000 votes (in each constituency). We have completed 72% of village committees. BJP created an alliance against people’s wishes and never gel,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Indian President of the Youth Congress Uday Bhan Chib announced that KP Surya Prakash was appointed President of the Congress Wing of Tamil Nadu.
