South African Wiian Mulder hit the second fastest hundreds in the history of the test cricket. The versatile, who left the Republic of South Africa for a short period of time due to the Kolpak agreement, became the first captain to achieve this incredible act.
Mulder played against Zimbabwe in the second and last match of the series and achieved its triple hundred in 297 balls, only for Virender Sehwag’s Whirlwind Knock against South Africa in Chennai. Sehwag achieved its performance in 278 deliveries.
Mulder also became only a second South African player who hit three hundreds, behind Hashim Amla, who achieved this performance in 2012 against England.
