The British Grand Prix 2025 proved to be one of the most unforeseen races of the season, with five retirement, changing weather and a rush of security cars. It was the first time for the first time in 11 years when Lewis Hamilton missed the stage in Silverstone.
The Oscar Piastri, who looked like the best candidate for victory in the British GP, checked the brake from the best place after receiving a 10 -second sentence for trying to be too cheeky behind a security car. Piastri was punished on the 21st round of the race for “unpredictable braking” after almost caused a collision with Max Verstappen, who followed him behind the safety car.
The brake check completely destroyed the Verstappen race. He was unable to drive his Red Bull on a simple turn and after he lost his adhesion on the rear tires, he ended up on the track. Verstappen dropped to 14th place but fought back to the end in 5th place.
British GP: How did it happen
The race began with a hard competition between Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen. Piastri, who had a better car among them, tried to overtake Verstappen in the first round, but without success.

The following wheels have seen several safety cars, both on the ground and virtual, after several cars slipped out of the track due to wet conditions.
Racing continued briefly between 4-8 wheels when Piastri managed to go through Verstappen for leadership. Between Kimi Antonelli and other Middle Field runners, heated to the track battle has also developed, with Antonelli to remain without respect for the time being.
The rain took the scene from the 11th round, which meant that McLarens proved to be excellent land cars and gained a huge time advantage over the rest of the field.
The conditions became more complex, as rain rains made it difficult for racing engineers to decide whether to operate cars on intermediate or neat.
In the 14th round of Ferrari Charles Leclerc escaped from the track completely and slipped down the grass. He was able to save the car from the fact that the wall hit, just because there were enough outflow areas on the track. During this time, another safety car allowed an Oscar Piastri to dive into the pit and serve its 10 -second punishment.
During caution, Russell urged the race to be cheated in red, but the FIA decided not to stop driving. The safety car ended up on the 17th round, with Piastri still in the lead.
Bike 18 saw the chaos at restart, Russell overtaken Hamilton just to lose his point moments later. Racing Bulls The Isack Hadjar driver collided with Antonelli due to low visibility and forced Hadjar to retire. Antonelli lost the rear diffuser in the collision, which eventually forced him to leave the race.
In the final stages, Russell, Hamilton and Verstappen climbed back to the TOP 10. Hamilton finally finished 4th. Verstappen settled on the 5th and Russell dropped to 9. After late rotation.
Norris moved to the lead after Piastri served his punishment. Hulkenberg overtaken the walk to claim his first podium in F1 and Aston Martin finally had both of his points of drivers.
