Trump said, “We will send letters on Monday to do business with business agreements … it could be up to 15 years old. Mondays will go out and some will go on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we also concluded agreements. We will also have a combination of letters and some agreements were concluded.”
“We will be very busy over the next 72 hours,” said Finance Minister Scott Bessnt on Sunday at the CNN Union, referring to the time that remained before July 9, Bloomberg informed.
Bessnt said that several major agreements are close, although countries that receive letters see their exports face the most extreme American tariffs – some up to 50% among more than 50 economies focused on April 1 – from August 1, unless they do, according to Bloomberg.

For several weeks, Trump administration officials claimed that more agreements were approaching. So far, however, only a limited framework with Great Britain, a temporary ceasefire with China and a short outline of agreements with Vietnam has been revealed.
The latest Trump and Bessnt notes suggest that the conversations remain liquid and the shops are elusive three days before the deadline.
The Minister of Finance said Washington was putting maximum pressure on business partners and in his discussions with the European Union there was a “very good progress” -Blok 27-land, which represents almost one fifth of the total US goods trade, Bloomberg reported.

The letters were originally scheduled for sending 4 July, according to earlier notes of President Trump, tariffs are determined in the validity of 1 August. However, American officials continued in intensive negotiations during the holiday weekend with several countries, including Japan, South Korea, EU, India and Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Indonesia expressed optimism about the completion of the “bold” business agreement with the US before the approaching term of tariffs. According to the country’s main negotiator, the agreement is expected to cover key areas such as critical minerals, energy, defensive cooperation and market access.
