Since the opposition parties accuse the election commission of ignoring their concerns, the main election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Saturday (July 5, 2025) claimed that the survey has maintained a regular dialogue with political parties and 5,000 such meetings have been held in the last four months, starting with the level of the assembly.
The answer to questions from reporters in Firozabad, where he came to participate in the private program, Mr. Kumar said that after voters, political parties are other important parties to the EC.
He was asked to criticize the opposition parties, including their accusations that their concerns about the voice bihar are overlooked by the EC.
“The Election Commission has a regular dialogue with different political parties. In the last four months, the meeting of all parties has been organized in each election district in each district, as well as with each main election official of the state.
“Overall, 5,000 such meetings took place, attended by 28,000 people, including political parties.” CEC said that not only that, the Election Commission itself meets all national and state parties.
“Five national parties and four state parties have encountered. If it is a problem, delegations of all parties come and the EC will meet them,” he said.
The main election commissioner also stated that voters are the most important in the election process, but after them “our political parties are the most important parties involved”.
Referring to a special intensive revision (Sir) of electoral roles in Bihar, where the elections to the assembly are due at the end of this year, CEC Gyanesh Kumar said that anyone who is in the voters of 01.01.2003 in Bihar.
In other words, people whose names are in this list will not have to submit any support documents, and if they are to be carried out for their children, they will not have to provide documents for their parents.
The Election Commission stated that it would soon be uploaded to its 2003 Bihar website to facilitate nearly 4.96 Crore voters, whose names it sets to extract the relevant part to be connected to the list for a special intensive revision of the voter.
According to the instructions issued by its Bihar Analment Machinery survey, 4.96 crore voters – 60% of the total voters – who were listed in a special intensive revision of 2003, need no support document to determine their date or place or birth.
The other three crore – almost 40% – will have to provide one of the 11 documents listed to create their place or date of birth.
“The basic exercise is to identify each individual of the remaining three voters Crore before their names are included in the list,” the official explained.
Special intensive revisions ensure that no eligible voter is omitted from election roles and none of the unacceptable is part of it, the main election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said PTI.
Bihar, from now on, has more than 7.89 crore voters extended to 243 assembly seats. Public opinion surveys in the state are due at the end of this year.
