The Indian technical worker claimed that his company ended him just a few days before he became eligible for reward and caused outrage online. In the viral post Reddit called “they refused to resign, so they ended me after 4.7 years. The legal council needed” the employee shared his suffering. He claimed that after completing 4 years and 7 months he was suddenly charged with poor performance and asked for resignation in June.
When he refused to stop without a valid reason, the company reportedly placed it on a 10 -day PIP (plan to improve performance). He says he had already completed 80% of his sprint tasks and was before the plan, but the company ended it on the fourth day of PIP – before the end of the inspection period.
The employee believes that it was a “completely unethical and planned” step to avoid paying the remuneration. Under the 1972 remuneration Act, the remuneration for poor performance cannot be denied and can only be detained for serious misconduct, such as theft or violence.
He says he got only one month of severance pay, which he believes is unfair.
Several editors supported him and called the “abuse” of employees’ rights. One commentator advised him to “complain to the local worker”, while others emphasized that the Indian courts “examine the end of the timed just before the competence of the remuneration” and could consider it a law on “Maly Fide”.
Another user questioned the company’s actions and wrote: “What company is trying to save a five -month reward by risking its reputation?”
The third user said: “Which retarded company is this? I have never heard that it happened. Most companies create reward in these books, it is also audited. Also a 5 -year reward is what will be saved for 5 months.
