Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation (Tantransco) plans to lay an underground cable by dismantling existing high -voltage transmission lines in Panjapur, where Tidel Park and Tiruchi Corporation created an integrated bus term.
The cable passes above the ground assigned to the construction of Tidel Park adjacent to the new bus terminal. HT series Power Lines to Tiruchi, Thuvakudi and Thanjavur from the 230 kV substation in Pirattiyur. Since HT lines are an obstacle to creating a multi -storey structure, Tidel Park asked Tantransco to move the power line. According to the calculation, Tidel Park LTD paid 28 Crore for relocation. Tantransco began to dismantle the electrical line. In the first phase, 66 kV feeders are removed, which are kept as a reserve.
In the next phase, 110 kv Tiruchi-THANJAVUR and 110 kV tiruchi-thuvakudi feeder line will be dismantled. The removal will be removed by twelve HT power lines.
Mary Magdalin Princy, superintendent engineer, Tantransco, Tiruchi, told the Hindes that they would be given proper care during the dismantling of existing power lines because they were the main feed into many areas in Tiruchi and Thanjavur. They would be removed step by step to ensure continuous power supply. Given the movement of the huge volume of vehicles on the Tiruchi-Madurai motorway After opening a new bus term, it was decided to lay underground cables in Panjapur. The 110 kv Tiruchi-THANJAVUR feeder and 110 kv tiruchi-thuvakudi feeder line would be laid below the ground. In any case, this would not affect the movement of vehicles. In the future, this would not affect infrastructure and development work. The land test was completed. The team of 25 members joined work. The project would be completed within six months, Mrs. Prince added.
