Hussainabi, a 50 -year -old woman from Maski, Raichur, was in tears when she met her only son Ibrahim after a year in Nagar, Hosanagar Taluk in Shivamogg. Her year -round efforts to find her son, who disappeared in July 2024, ended thanks to the efforts of Nagar.
Sathish Shetty, the artist Yakshagany and the resident of Nulligeri near Nagar, noticed Ibrahim on Wednesday, visibly starved and wandered in the village. He brought Ibrahim to his house and offered him food and water. He looked mentally disturbed and his words were incomprehensible. After repeated efforts to communicate with him, however, Mr. Shetty realized that he was a native of Maski in Raichur Taluk.
With the help of Ravi Bidanoor, the resident of Nagary, he recorded a video of Ibrahim and spread it through social media. They also tried to contact the police in Maski.
“Within a few hours, the video became viral; people started calling the phone number listed on the video. His relatives called, and his mother also spoke to us on the phone. They were all cheerful after I knew Ibrahim was found in Nagar,” Mr. Bidanoor said.
Hussainabi, accompanied by three others, joined the taxi on Wednesday evening and traveled for several hours to reach Nagar. “The son was taken to the government hospital in Nagara and the police were also informed. They contacted their colleagues in Mask again. In the end, the mother could meet her son on Thursday,” said Mr. Bidanoor. The mother expressed gratitude to the people of Nagar for the care of her only son.
