Ernaculam Vigilance and the Anti -Corruption Authority (VACB) registered a case against a higher police officer (CPO), which now serves with the security wing of the government’s vasshors in Kottayam for deputies for accumulation of £ 29,26.
The accused was identified in Kottayam as KP Shimal of Vasshoor. It was reserved according to the Corruption Act based on a preliminary investigation of a complaint concerning corruption during its operation as a higher CPO at the UpPuthara Police Station in the Idukki district.
According to VACB, the officer was reportedly accumulated by assets, including real estate worth 92.17 GBP Lakh, which found that assets worth 29.26 ₹ Lakh are beyond his known sources of income. The VACB team led by Dysp Al Yesudas on Thursday (July 3, 2025) led the defendant house in his lovhoor. Various assets and documents related to the illegal assembly of wealth were confiscated, Vacb said in the statement issued here.
