Bharatiya Janata (BJP) on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) accused the congress of the commitment of opportunism policy and said that although the party claimed to protect the institute and secularism, it was looking for help from outfit like Jamaat-E-Islami, and tried to bring to comparison with the mainstream.
For the first time, Congress openly received the support of Jamaat-E-Islami in the recent election Assembly of Nilambur in the state, said President Kerala BJP Rajeev Chandrasekhar at a press conference. “Previously, their alliance with Jamaat-E-Islami was kept secret because of some shame in congress and their partners,” he said.
The leaders of Congress previously considered Jamaat-E-Islami to be a dangerous organization and even the leader of Congress and former Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chanda spoke against him, said Mr. Chandrasekhar. In despair, however, Congress has now added in accordance with clothing within the opportunistic policy.
The BJP leader, who claimed that Jamaat-E-Islami was against secularism, democracy and believed in Islamic administration, said other communities have now realized how Congress deceived them for voices, and resorted to reassuring the Muslim community. The party joined Islamic clothing in different parts of the country, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Congress had no development agenda and represented only corruption and calm, he said. “One of the largest Indian National Party (Congress) now has nothing to offer people in India … The Karnataka economy is in ruins. Just before 2023, Karnataka was one of the strongest economies,” said Mr. Chandrasekhar and responded to the question.
