Direct flight service between Kurnool and Vijayawada started its activities on Wednesday. The flight was opened virtually by the Minister of Civil Aviation K. Rammohan Naida of Delhi, while the airport was present by the Minister of Industrial and Trades TG Bharath, MPs and Officials.
On this occasion, Mr. Rammohan Naida said that the main Minister N. Chandrababu Naida wanted to develop an airport in the state. “The flight service will improve the connectivity of the undistributed courier and the anantapur district to other places. The main minister wants to make Andhra Pradesh the logistics center by developing new airports,” he said.
Mr. Rammohan Naida said that in the last year he had increased flight services from Visakhapatnam, Rajamahandravaram, Vijayawad, Tirupati, Kadapa and Kurnool. “We are moving forward with the construction of new airports in Bhogapuram, Nellore, Anantapore and Kuppam,” he said. The Minister of the Union also said that the new service between Vijayawada and Kurnool will take place three days a week and the steps would be taken to make it everyday.
Mr. Rammohan Naida said that the development of Orvakal Airport would increase industrial development in courier development.
The Minister of Industry and TG Bharath, Mr. Rammohan Naida, urged Mr. Rammohan Naid to facilitate the night landing of flights at Orvakal airport, because the Industrial Industrial Industrial Center is often visited by the Orvakal Industrial Center.
