Unlike the statement of the state government that bike taxis are not safe for women, on Wednesday a commuting woman proclaimed in front of the Karnataka High Court that bike taxis were safer, more accessible and more comfortable for women commuting compared to other public transports such as buses and cabins.

Mr. Holla and Mrs. Kothari pointed out the bench that the operation in Bengalur in the city had increased since the government forbade bike taxis after 15 June.
