The 27 -year -old man was caught 7.5 kg of marijuana in Kanchanbagh on Tuesday evening, after a joint operation of the Commissioner’s Working Group (Southwest Zone) and Kanchanbagag.
The accused, a taxi driver from Balapur, allegedly sold Ganja at a high price after it was obtained by a local seller in Mangalhat and Hafeez Baba Nagar.
According to the police, MoHD America has been working as a driver for the past five years. He began to buy marijuana in a large dealer named MoHD Ismail aka Shabba, Hafeez Baba Nagar residents, for 2,000 GBP per 100 grams and sold it to users for rates ranging from 3,500 GBP per 100 grams, making it unusable.
On Tuesday, America reportedly bought 7.5 kg of Shabby Ganja and was on his way home when he was captured by the police. The confiscated material and other objects were awarded at 1.86 GBP Lakh.
The case was registered according to the offense no. 87/2025 at the Kanchanbaggh police station according to Section 8 (a). (C) with 20 (a). (B) (ii) (a) B) of the Act on Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances (NDP).
Hyderabad Municipal Police said that drug abuse between students and youth remains a serious problem, and many families affect addictions. They urged their parents to monitor their children’s activities and urgently to share any information that could help reduce drug trafficking.
The arrest was taken under the supervision of inspectors G. Santosh Kumar (Task Force, South West Zone) and Y. Kamal Kumar (Kanchanbagag PS), with sub-inspectors G. Vijayanand and K. Raja and their teams.
