Following the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiaha, connecting the death of the heart in Hassan with a Covid vaccine, the Ministry of Tradeless Health on Wednesday said that extensive ICMR and AIIMS studies have convincingly disabled any links between the coronavirus vaccines and sudden deaths.
On Tuesday, Siddaraiaiah said that “hasty approval and distribution” of a Covid vaccine for the public may also be a reason for these deaths.

He urged everyone to immediately visit the nearest health center for control if they have symptoms such as chest pain or breathing difficulty, and not ignoring these symptoms.

The ministry said that the affair of sudden unexplained deaths was explored through several agencies in the country, and these studies have convincingly showed that there is no direct connection between vaccination against COVID-19 and reports of sudden deaths.
Studies of the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Disease Control Center (NCDC) confirm that COVID-19 vaccines in India are safe and effective, with extremely rare cases of serious side effects, she said.

Studies of the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Disease Control Center (NCDC) confirm that COVID-19 vaccines in India are safe and effective, with extremely rare cases of serious side effects, she said.
“Sudden heart death may be the result of a wide range of factors, including genetics, lifestyle, existing conditions and post-covid complications,” the ministry said in a statement.

ICMR and NCDC work together to understand the causes of sudden unexplained death, especially in young adults aged 18 to 45 years.
To explore this, two additional studies have been carried out using various research approaches-one based on past data and the second involving real-time investigation.

The first study conducted by the ICMR’s National Institute of Epidemiologists (NIE) was called “Factors associated with unexplained sudden deaths in adults aged 18-45 years in India-Vinential Case control”.
This study was conducted from May to August 2023 across 47 tertiary hospitals in 19 states and the territory of the Union, the statement said.
He looked at the individuals who seemed to be health, but suddenly died from October 2021 to March 2023.

The finding convincingly showed that COVID-19 vaccination does not increase the risk of inexplicable sudden death in young adults.
The second study entitled “The establishment of the cause of sudden inexplicable death in Young” is currently conducting the Institute of Medical Sciences All India (AIims), the new Delhi with financing and in cooperation with ICMR.
This is a prospective study aimed at determining the common causes of sudden deaths in young adults. Early analysis of data from the study suggests that heart attacks or myocardial infarction (Mi) are still the main cause of sudden death in this age group, the statement said.
Importantly, no major changes have been observed compared to previous years. In most cases, the inexplicable deaths have been identified by genetic mutations as the possible cause of these deaths. The final results will be shared after the study is completed.
Together, these two studies offer a more complex understanding of sudden inexplicable deaths in young adults in India.
It has also been found that COVID-19 vaccination does not increase the risk, while the role of basic health problems, genetic predispositions and risky lifestyle choices play a role in inexplicable sudden deaths, the statement said.
“Scientific experts have repeated that the declarations associated with Covid vaccination with sudden deaths are false and misleading and are not supported by scientific consensus,” the statement said.
The speculative statement without convincing risk of evidence undermines public confidence in vaccines that played a key role in saving millions of lives during the pandemic, she said.
Such unfounded reports and claims could strongly contribute to the hesitation of the vaccine in the country, thus having an adverse impact on public health.
The government continues to be determined to research public health based on evidence to protect the well -being of its citizens.
The Chief Minister of Karnataka said that more than 20 people died due to heart attacks in the last month in only one Hassan district.
“The government takes this matter very seriously. To identify the exact cause of these series of deaths and find a solution, was under the leadership of Dr. Ravindranath, director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular and Research, created experts, and said within 10 days.”
