Rapper Hirandas Murali, aka Vedan, received the first prize priyadarshini established by the public library Priyadarshini in Snehatheeram in Thrissur on Tuesday.
The award was awarded by Shafi Paramtil, MP. Included the cash price of 1 Lakh 1, which led by led the library for the purchase of books. He also donated 10 books to the library.
The event, which witnessed the enormous participation of young people and children, saw Vedan to enter the stage to the rhythms of his rap tracks.
The reconstructed library was solemnly solemnly by Alankode Lelakrishnan and Ashokan Chavil. They appreciated Vedan and acknowledged the impact of his socially charged texts.
Aware and alert
Mr. Paramtil said, “Today I came here, just to see and listen to Vedan. He talks about the present and the future through powerful verses that some disrupts – perhaps therefore question why his words are included in sylab.” He added that Vedan’s fans were a new generation that was aware of, vigilant and dealt with the world around them.
Mr. Lelakrishnan, recipient of the Padmaprabha Award, was honored by Mr. Chauvil, winner of the Vayalar Award.
Constitutional value
A member of the Library and Keral Pradesh Congress Congress Congress Congress Congress Committee TN Prathapan, which chaired this position, said the library was firmly worth constitutional values and social commitment.
Vedan surprised the audience by announcing that it was Mr. Prathapan’s birthday. He brought a cake for Mr. Prathapan, who was interrupted by Mr. Prathapan and his wife Frame. “This is the first time in my life to cut a birthday cake,” Prathapan said. “It’s an unexpected gesture that touched me deeply,” he added.
Although the organizers informed the audience that Vydan would not perform, the rapper surprised the crowd by singing three of his popular numbers and said, “I’m better known for singing than speaking.”
