Recapping Our Adventures in Seville!
Hi friends! How are you? I hope you’re having a wonderful day so far. I’ve been catching up with friends, preparing for a podcast conversation, and looking forward to a relaxed evening.
For today’s post, I wanted to share a recap of our adventures during our time in Seville.
(Dress details linked here)
While it’s impossible to sum up everything—we were there for four weeks!—I love sharing travel ideas for friends who might visit this incredible city. Plus, these posts serve as a little memory book for me. Let’s be honest, I’m terrible at printing photos, and my phone and computer are overflowing with thousands of them. At least my blog keeps some of these memories safe so I can revisit them.
Seville Adventures
In Seville, we did a mix of all our favorite things: walking, exploring, eating, shopping, and hanging out with friends. It was such a special opportunity to reconnect with our dear friends who live there (and the best friend P in the world!) and enjoy a city that feels like a second home after spending a few weeks there last summer. The best part? We didn’t feel rushed to do all the touristy things. We’d already seen the main landmarks, so we had plenty of time to slow down, which was much-needed after such a hectic start to the year.
Restaurant Recommendations in Seville
During this trip, I finally got to cook a little, and I loved it! It was so fun to visit the market daily and pick up whatever looked good. Since it was mostly just me and the girls, meals were quick and casual. (When the pilot’s home, I feel the need to make proper meals, but it’s a lot simpler when it’s just us.)
We also tried Pollo Asado from a spot down the street—an $11 rotisserie chicken that fed all of us! It was such a comforting and convenient option.
We had family dinners with our friends almost every weeknight. Everyone contributed something, and we’d gather around their dining table to eat, talk, and let the kids run wild afterward. It was such a treat, and I miss those moments.
Here are some of our favorite restaurants in Seville:
- Encomienda
- Alfalfa 8
- Esquina
- Petra (get the Spanish tortilla!)
- María Trifulca
- Cañabota (an incredible Michelin-starred experience)
- Pequerry (gluten-free options)
- Picantón (for paella!)
- Rosalia (always ice cream, now with GF cones!)
New Adventure: Isla Mágica
For a fun family day, we visited Isla Mágica, a massive amusement and water park right in the city. The kids had a blast with the water slides and crazy roller coasters. Plus, they served beer and tinto de verano, so it was a win all around.
Activities
- Museum of Illusions: A fun and quirky spot for the whole family.
- Flamenco Shows: We caught two flamenco performances, and they remain one of my favorite experiences. I highly recommend Las Setas, Casa de la Memoria, and La Carbonería.
Gym & Fitness
I joined a gym during our stay! While I’ve been loving my Sculpt Society workouts at home, I decided to mix things up with a gym membership. I went to San Bernardo, which has pools—perfect for the hot weather—and great group fitness classes. They also have a top-notch Technogym floor with plenty of cardio and strength equipment. Highly recommend!
Airbnb Stay
We stayed in an Airbnb that, while cute, was quite small. Normally, this wouldn’t be an issue since we’re out exploring, but with the heat, we spent more time indoors than usual. Next time, I’d pay a little extra for a balcony or terrace to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the house.
Final Thoughts
Seville is a magical place with a rich culture, friendly people, and so much to offer. I’m working on a post with more tips for traveling to Seville, so let me know if you’d like me to include anything specific. It’s definitely a destination worth adding to your travel list!
