The decision left the Democratic Front (LDF) from Thiruvananthapuram City Corporation, repeated their demand for the resignation of two councilors of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who face accusations of corruption. On Monday, they approached a press conference on Monday, and LDF leaders accused the BJP of sponsoring countermeasures to distract attention from the accusations against their own councilors.
Punakkamugal Council PV Manju is accused of helping to cover the alleged abuse of approximately 3 ₹ Lakh collected by the local unit of Harith Karma hay (HKS) as a user fee of households to the department. The problem came to light when some members of the unit raised a complaint with the junior medical inspector that their monthly wage, which depends on the user fee, was delayed. LDF accused Mrs. Manja of organizing secret meetings in her house between June 16 and 22 to disgru for this matter. She filed a formal complaint with the police and corporation up to 23rd June after the problem became public through media reports, CPI councilor (M) Dr. Anil.
Another statement was against councilor pappanamcode GS ASHA NATH, whom LDF accused of collecting money from recipients for providing forms of application for various schemes. The accusation was based on a contribution to the social media, which she made at the beginning of this month, claiming that a person who is no longer a BJP bearer illegally gathered money for providing applications. LDF claimed that the councilors had built a place as a face saver. 28 June, Mrs ASHA NATH modified the post to remove the reference to the former BJP wearer and changed it to the “individual”.
Anil claimed that the councilors revealed a problem in a social media post after a dispute over the sharing of the prey of corruption. LDF demanded that councilors should resign from their functions.
