Telangan’s government approved 15% increase in monthly scholarships for MBBS and BDS surgeons, postgraduate students (medical and dental), super specialized trainees and higher inhabitants. Revised scholarships will be usable retrospectively from 1 January 2025.
According to the government order issued by Minister of Health Christin Z. Chongth of 28 June, this decision is followed by a proposal of the Director of Medical Education (DME), Hyderabad, who is looking for an upward revision in the light of rising life costs and the requirements of medical brotherhood.
As part of the revised structure, MBBS/BDS trainees, who previously received 25,906 GBP per month, now 29,792 GBP. Postgraduate students will receive gradual grades or diploma courses between 67 032 GBP and 74,482 GBP, depending on their year of study, from an earlier range of 58 289 GBP to 64 767 GBP. MDS students will also see similar additions.
Super specialties Trainees now draw between 1.06 lakh 1.17 lakh per month, compared to the earlier 92 575 ₹ to 1.01 lakh. The leaders who receive the honorary will now be paid 1.06 Lakh per month.
