All India Majlis-e-Ithadul Muslimeen President Assaddin Owaisi raised concerns about a special intensive revision (Sir) of electoral roles in Bihar, although he claimed that the national register of civic exercises in this state is running in this state after elections to the assembly.
Mr. Owaisi, who built his party’s candidates in the previous elections in the previous elections, urged the Indian Election Commission to clarify concerns about Sir of electoral roles and warned that he could have a “harmful effect” and the exclusion of voters of the Bihar Assembly.
Representation of 28 June states that Bihar has more than 7.72 crore voters. A special summary revision of voters was carried out from 29 October 2024 and 6 January 2025, repeating, in which the issues of rapid urbanization, migration, lack of death reports, eligible voters and the names of foreign illegal immigrants in the electoral wars were already covered. He tried to know the need to exercise Sir announced on June 24th.
Mr. Owaisi has stood out that new rules for verification require voters to present documents that demonstrate not only their own birth data, but also depending on their birth of one or both parents.
He also protested against a short time line for the training of officials, rushed plans to create new polling stations, which was, according to him, a thorough and extensive exercise, and wide discretion powers provided to officers such as ERO and Aero, such as the reporting of foreigners to the competent authority. He said that it was a “wide and unattended” power that could be misused to discover the capacity of voters, and could also lead to a loss of livelihood.
Mr. Owaisi, who quoted the decision of the 1995 Supreme Court in Lal Babu Hussein, stressed that no voter could be removed on the roles without a proper process and opportunity to present the relevant evidence.
He demanded a detailed explanation of ec and personal hearing for opposition parties to arouse their concerns.
