
New Delhi, 27 June (PTI) Indian authorities decided to deliver the status of observer to the UN ICAO expert in the ongoing probe to the Aviation India crash in Ahmedabad 12 June, said the highest official source on Friday.
In an international civil aviation organization (ICAO) in a not normal step, she was looking for an observer status for her investigation expert.
Air India’s Boeing 787-8 AirCraft Operating Flight AI 171 EN-Route to London Gatwick crashed into a medical hostel complex soon after takeoff from Ahmedabad 12th June and killed 270 people, including 241 people on board the plane. One passenger survived.

On Friday, the official source told PTI that after considering the application it was decided to assign the status of the observer to an ICAO expert in the investigation.
Indian authorities are approaching the probe transparently, emphasized the official source.

The investigation of the accident in the aerial case is carried out according to Annex 13 of the Convention in Chicago.
International standards and recommended procedures (SARP) contained in nineteen technical annexes to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (also called Chicago Conventions) are used in general and create a high degree of technical uniformity that enabled international civil aviation safely, properly and efficiently according to the ICAO website.
Sarp was developed by ICAO, which was founded in 1944.
On Thursday, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the data were extracted from black boxes and the voice recorder of the cockpit and recorder of the crashed aircraft is being analyzed.
AAIB immediately launched an investigation and set up a multidisciplinary team headed by chief AAIB 13 June in accordance with the prescribed standards. The team includes a specialist in aviation medicine, air traffic control officer (ATC) and representative of the US National Transport Safety Council (NTSB), the ministry said in its statement.
