
The imprisoned gangster Jagg Bhagwanpuria mother and another person who accompanied her were reportedly shot by unidentified people on a bike in Batale, Punjab, the police said.
Harjit Kaur suffered critical injuries during the incident that occurred on Thursday around 21:30 and was transferred to the hospital in Amritsar, the PTI press agency reported. She later died of injuries of missiles, the report quoted a police officer from Batala.

“Unidentified persons transmitted on the bike started fire when there were Harjit Kaur and another person Karanvir Singh,” said police superintendent, Batala, Paramveer Singh PTI.
Harjit Kaur, who comes from Bhagwanpur, was previously elected as a member of the village of Panchayat.
In March, the imprisoned gangster Jagg Bhagwanpuria was detained under the Pit-NDPS Act and moved from the central prison in Bathinda to Assam’s prison Silchar. Bhagwanpuria was already in custody of the Panjab police in the case of the murder of Sidh Moosewal in 2022. In addition, it faces several other cases.

In an independent incidence, a 43-year-old man was shot by unidentified attackers, while his daughter was injured on Friday morning in the Bawana area in Outer-North Delhi, the official said.
The victim, marked as dipak, is said to be the nephew of Gangster Manjit Mahal. Accoridng to The Hindustan Times, the incident occurred when he was on a morning walk with his daughter.
“One person, named Dipak at the age of 43, died in a shooting incident in Bawana. Unknown persons fired at him,” police officials in Delhi said.
Dipak suffered several shots injuries and died in place.
Dipak’s daughter was with him at the time of the incident and suffered her hand injury. Is out of danger.
“His daughter received a gunshot wound during the attack. She was immediately taken to the hospital and is declared danger,” the officer said.
The case was registered and teams were created for identification and charged attackers.
The shooting motif must still be found, the police said.
However, the police in Delhi said the victim was the nephew of the notorious gangster Manjit Mahal.
“He (Dipak) has no criminal background. The police have suspected gang war in this incident. Two accused came to the motorcycle and fired several rounds,” the police said.
They joined seven to eight shots are visible on Deepak’s body, but only after the Mort’s message is known how many shots were burned.
Forensic teams explored the crime scene and scanned shots of CCTV from the nearby area, said the officer.
