Executive officer Temple Duga History of Naik and his family members “Ashada Saare” to the goddess Kanaka Dug at the peak of Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada in Vijayawada.
Thousands of devotees gathered at the peak of Indrakeeladri, the dwelling of the goddess Kanaka Durg to celebrate the traditional “Aasada Saare” ritual on Thursday in Sri Durg Mallesware Swamyvarla Devasthanam. The day began with spiritual enthusiasm and culminated in the dance performance of the Grand Kuchipudi dedicated to the goddess.
The Aashada Saare festivities began with a ceremonial procession. The procedural idol was transmitted in a large procession from the sanctuary to the sixth floor of MaHa Mandapam. The executive officer of the VK Seeta Naik and his family led the ritual by offering the first Saare, accompanied by the staff of the temple and their family. Saare, a symbol of a daughter’s gift to her mother home, was given traditional offers and distributed to the devotees.
A large number of devotees from the whole state took part in the event and received free pigs and blessings from priests.
Andhra Pradesh of the Minister of House V. Anith contributed to spiritual significance. He also visited the temple in the morning. After offering Saare the goddess, she received Darshan and blessing in Maha Mandapam, with temple officials formally welcomed her.
Daily events reflected the pulsating confluence of devotion, tradition and culture, and during the sacred month of Aashada, the spiritual aura Indrakeeladri further enriched.
In the evening, the temple hosted a cultural offer entitled “Jagannma to Nritya Kalachan”, which contained the devoted recital of the Kuchipudi 20 students from Sri Abhinaya Kuchipudi Academy in Hyderabad. Under the leadership of the renowned dance guru Uvashi Satisha, dancers played in a perfect rhythm on devoted anthem in the newly developed rajagopuram mandapam. The temple authorities later appreciated the ensemble with Prasadam and a special Darshan goddess.
Kanaka Durg’s temple authorities were preparing for the favorable “Ashad Masam Utsavams”, which began on Thursday and will continue until July 24th. During this occasion, the temple authorities expect a large number of devotees. In honor of the goddess Kanaka Durg, several festivities were built. In addition to Ashada Saare, “Varahi Navratri” (Gupta Navratri) will be observed from June 26 to July 4, followed by “Sakambari Devsavams” from 8 to 10 July.
