Pakistan captain Shan Masood was seen talking to the umpires and his teammates before play resumed.Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, who was well set at the crease, then asked the Pakistan captain to “carry on with the game”, according to the stump microphone audio.Rahim’s comment seemed to upset Shan Masood and the two players were in the middle of a heated argument. The exchange also raised the mood among the Sylhet crowd during a tense phase of the match.In the match, Mushfiqur Rahim reached his 14th Test century on the third day and became the Bangladeshi batsman with the most hundreds in Test cricket, surpassing Mominul Haque.Playing his 102nd Test, Rahim reached his hundred with a third-ball boundary of the 85th over off the bowling of Mohamed Abbas. His teammates gave him a standing ovation in the locker room while the crowd also applauded the milestone.Rahim ended up scoring 137 runs in the second innings. He also completed 16,000 international runs across formats while knocking, becoming the first Bangladeshi cricketer to reach the milestone. He now has 16,058 international runs.The 39-year-old wicketkeeper-palter is also Bangladesh’s leading run-scorer in Test cricket with 6,763 runs. His innings in Sylhet included 12 fours and one six.Bangladesh set Pakistan a target of 437 runs in the series-deciding second Test.
