The Union (UPSC) Commission (UPSC) was included in the narrower selection of the director of the General (DGPS) Nitin Agrawal, Ravada A. Chandrasekhar and Yogesh Gupta for the post of Chief of the State Police (SPC).
With the current SPC Shaik Darvesh Saheb, June 30 will retire, the state government is expected to select one of the three for the highest position in the coming days. The UPSC meeting, which took place in NovĂ˝ Dilli, was attended by the main secretary A. Jayathilak and Mr. Saheb.
In addition to the three candidates to choose from the narrower selection, the Government of Keral gave the names DGP Manoj Abraham and the next CEO (ADGP) Suresh Raj Purohit and Mr. Ajith Kumar to the center for assessment.
However, given the strict UPSC criteria requiring at least 30 years of service and only to those who are entitled to DGP evaluation, they were eligible for the post of SPC, ADGP candidates were excluded from further negotiations.
Mr. Ajith Kumar, who was criticized for outages related to the Thrissur Poarram fiasco, was reportedly preferred by the state government to the successor of Mr. Saheb.
Mr. Agrawal, a 1989 batch officer, who currently serves as a road safety commissioner, has previously held the position of CEO of the Border Security Forces.
Mr. Chandrasekhar, a benefit officer of 1991, is currently a special director of the intelligence office. He was recently appointed Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat, a position he has, provided that he has visited Thiruvananthapuram on 1 August to meet the main Minister Pinaray Vijayan and the main secretary to express the interest in the role of SPC.
Currently, the CEO of Fire and Rescue Services Keral, Mr. Gupta, belonging to the 1993 dose, previously worked as the director of the Vigilance and the Anticororperation Office. However, it was transferred after only nine months due to reported differences with the state government. In addition, the government allegedly detained its alert certificate, despite more requests for the center, thus complicating its prospects for the central representation.
