Alumna and Businesswoman Iim Indore is on LinkedIn under fire after refusing to issue a salary slipping to a short -term employee and provoked a major debate on professionalism in the workplace and the rights of employees.
The controversy began when the entrepreneur shared a film of whatsApp with a former employee who worked in her company for just over two weeks. The employee asked for a salary for academic documentation, but the application was rejected.
“You know it is 2025 when someone joins, leaves in 20 days and is still asking for a salary as if they have completed the financial year,” Linkedin wrote in her post. “We still paid because the work deserves a reward. But some formalities? You have to stick to them a little.”
In the exchange, the former employee filed a polite application and explained that their university required evidence of employment. The employer replied and stated that payments were only issued to employees who worked for at least six months.
The will of online
Her contribution quickly caused sharp criticism from human resources experts who called it a tone of deaf and unprofessional. Many of them claimed that paying salary – regardless of tenure – is a basic formality and legal law that helps trainees and temporary workers to ensure future opportunities.
The user wrote: “I am surprised to see this post in 2025. The salary slip is not kind. It is a fundamental right, although someone worked for only 5 days. Especially for fresheners, it is not a claim.
Another user noted: “I do not know about the laws in your country, but … it seems that you admit a crime here. Work and financial.”
“Sometimes employees leave soon because they feel unprofessionalism. Rejection of fundamental rights, such as payments, does not reflect only badly – this kind of behavior can be the very reason someone has decided to stay,” said the third user.
