“Security forces arrested two members of the forbidden clothing in manipure and their holding were obtained by firearms,” the police said on Thursday (June 26, 2025.)
“One active cadre of the forbidden Communist Party Kangleipak (PWG) was arrested on Tuesday (June 24, 2025) from one of the floating cottages in Loket Loking in the district of Bishhnupur,” said the head officer. “One pistol and 9 mm ammunition were obtained from its ownership,” he said.
“The floating cottages on the lake were used as a temporary transit camp and a shelter of militants,” the officer said, adding that several household objects were restored that were used by cadres of banned organizations and the cottages were dismantled.
“During the subsequent event, weapons and ammunition were obtained from the Awang Leikai area in the district,” the police said.
“One active cadre of the forbidden queue of united national liberation (P) was also arrested from his residence Soibam Leikai in Imphal East District. Two 9 mm pistols and ammunition were also obtained from its ownership,” the officer said.
