The Secretary General Aiadmk Edapppadi K. Palaniswami on Wednesday called on the reported decision of the central government to increase the railway fare that would affect the middle class.
In the social media post, Mr. Palaniswami referred to Mr. Stalin’s contribution, which urged the Union government to cancel the reported decision to increase the railway fare. “The decision of the central government to increase the fare affecting the middle class is not acceptable. I invite a proposal.”
Mr. Palaniswami further noted that people in Vellore were disappointed because of this, but because of growing taxes under the DMK government. Over the past four years, there has been an increase in real estate tax, electricity tariff, water fees, milk price, registration fees, among other things, former cm claimed.
