
Sister Sania Mirza Anam Mirza shared how she saves money with a little but smart change. In the Instagram video, she said she completely stopped using UPI and even deleted Google Pay from her phone.
“This year I stopped using Google Pay. No UPI. No immediate payment. This year I emptied my UPI accounts, deleted my UPI applications, no balance, nothing,” he says in the video.
This helped Anam to become more cautious expenses. At first it was hard. She even had to ask friends to buy coffee. But she got used to it with time.
Anam Miraza shared this tip in its Little Change series, a big impact. Anam said that avoiding quick payments informed her more about where her money was going, and helped her save more.

UPI in India
Since May 2025, 673 banks are active in UPI and transactions worth £25 lakh crore. According to the Indian company National Payments Corporation (NPCI),
SBI is leading back in the UPI ecosystem with almost 5,000 transactions per minute. HDFC Bank costs second with approximately 1,500 transactions per minute.
On the other hand, countries like the US use many different systems such as PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. In 2024, Zelle reached 15.1 Crore users and processed £85.84 Lakh Crore, highest for payment service in a personally per year.
