Students in Kerala to take cyber security pledge on school reopening day

Students of all schools across Kerala will take the cyber security pledge on the occasion of school reopening on Monday (June 1).

The initiative is being implemented under the ‘Kid Glove’ project, a program of the Kerala Police Cyber ​​Wing, which aims to create awareness about the pitfalls of the cyber world among students.

The project covers areas including safe and responsible use of digital platforms, protection against cyber threats, risks associated with online gaming, awareness of fake news, privacy, digital addiction, cyber hygiene, social media safety and responsible digital behaviour.

As part of the programme, the police, in collaboration with the Department of General Education, will provide basic cyber security training to teachers and parents and organize activities such as quizzes.
