Nupur Pittie, based in PUNE, caused a debate on social media using his own urine for eye care.
She recently shared a video on Instagram that showed her strange therapy – her eyes werehed her own urine.
The video bears the headline: “The own urine washing cure.”
In the video Nupur explains how he uses her own fresh midstream morning urine as a natural medicine for her eyes.
In the Instagram post, Nupur Pittie wrote: “We have explored the Triphal Eye Wash cooling force yesterday. But if you are openly (and a little curious), this swelling will heal one step deeper.”
“Fresh morning urine in the middle of a stream-ano, the formation of your own body-for centuries has been using natural healing as a strong anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and detoxifying agent,” she added.
It also claimed that eye washing its own urine helps with redness, dryness and irritation.
Nupur said, “It is used as a fine eye rinsing, it can help reduce: redness, dryness, irritation. And even support long -term clarity.”
“Always use clean hands, fresh in the middle of a stream and full of consciousness. Your body knows how to recover – sometimes you just have to get out of the way.”
Video, since Tuesday, has become viral and has gained more than 1.5 lakh views on Instagram.

Hepatologist Dr Cyriac Abby Philips (Theliverdoc), who shares a video on x, said, “Please put urine in your eyes. Urine is not sterile.”
He also criticized the trend and called it “depressed and frightening”.
