On Wednesday, the Theangana High Court ordered the State Government and the State Election Commission to complete the election process to the villages of Panchayats in the State of 30 September or earlier.
Justice T. Madhavi Devi declared a judgment at a dose of written petitions submitted by six Sarpanches, whose term ended in 31.
The elections have already been delayed by 14 months. Without getting into the initiation of whether the delay was justified, the judge stated that the government should complete the process of reservation of seats for the offices of departments or Sarpanches. Although the government was looking for 20 days, the judge gave the month to complete it.
Within 30 days of receiving a copy of the order, the government should issue a concurrence to organize elections to the village of Panchayats. Then SEC should issue an election notice and complete the election process within 60 days. The judge noted the submission of another general advocate Mohammed Imran Khan that the government had taken some time to identify the reverse class’s political background and eventually prepared with the data.
AAG also informed the bench that the government appointed a commission for one person for this purpose.
