The 25 -year -old software engineer was critically injured after a road tree branch near KR Circle near the PWD office on Nrupatunga Road. This is the second such case in the last 10 days in the city.
Mayur Kumar, Resident of Nagavary, was on his way to work on the scooter when the branch fell on him. He kept his head injury and fell unconscious. The traffic police officer in duty threw himself into his help and moved him to the hospital of St. Martha, where doctors after CT scan, recommended surgery and youth are currently being treated in intensive care unit (ICU).
Anuradha HM, the mother of the victim, said in her complaint to the Halasuro Gate Police on Monday that Mayur was critically injured and the doctor said the cost of treatment was estimated at 15 ₹ Lakh.
She argued that the negligence of BBMP forest cells of forest cells led to the accident and was maintained by road trees. On the basis of her complaint, the police registered companies against BBMP officials who charged them according to Section 125 (a). (B) (endangering life or personal security), BNS, 2023 for further investigation.
It should be remembered that Sundar Akshay Shivaram, 29 -year -old Executive Director of HR, suffered serious injuries of his skull and brain after the tree branch fell on him while he rode a scooter in Srinivas Nagar and succumbed to 19th June.
